About

Hello! Thyubaat’s me over there on the left with my band of free range children. For the past several years, my husband and I have led a pretty typical American life in Northern California.  And you could probably say the same by looking at us today – we drive normal cars, live in a cozy home in our lovely small town, have worked regular jobs post-college and our kids are involved in all the typical kid activities. But, big changes have been transpiring over the last 3+ years and I’m here to document and expand on those changes. If you followed me on my old blog , you’re familiar with some of these changes including downsizing, ditching one of our cars in favor of bike transportation, and then adding a car back when that didn’t work. Big changes in 2015 – 2016 included us paying off $26,000+ in debt, saving $10,000 to pay our taxes (GRRR), refinancing our home to 15 year loan and saving 40+% of our monthly income to build our emergency fund. By the end of 2016, our emergency stash was fully funded and as of May 2017 I’ve made a huge lifestyle change in becoming a stay-at-home mom. Stay tuned and come along for the ride.

xo,
